We spend so much time thinking about how garments are made, but there's something equally interesting about how they live and age. Bigtime Industries took that idea and ran with it, giving a brand-new chore coat the kind of life experience most garments take years to acquire. From being buried in gardens and riverbeds to spending time in the woods and on the beach, the process is as unconventional as it is thoughtful. The result is a beautifully broken-in canvas coat covered in Bigtime's playful, countercultural embroidery. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cblockquote\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBigtime Industries embroiders post-service utilitarian workwear and well worn garments with late night doodles and timeless countercultural motifs. This being the first “new” garment we’ve worked on, we wanted to imbibe it with a level of life lived, so we buried it wherever we were to break it in… our garden, under rocks in the middle of rivers, in the woods, and finally sun soaked in the sand of Old Orchard Beach, Maine. After the stiff canvas softened through the summer, we got to work on our embroidery machine in the corner of our kitchen overlooking the sea of basil and bee balm in the backyard. After a half million stitches or so, we could have sworn we heard the jacket say “Alright already!
