HUMBLES™
I’ve been a fan of Humbles™ for a while, and I love their bold graphics and tattoo-inspired style. I was curious to see what they’d do with a chore coat, and they definitely made it their own.
Humbles™ is an independent screen printing studio in Trenton, New Jersey that designs, dyes, and prints custom merch for artists. The art is hand drawn in a bold, tattoo flash style based on two decades of tattooing and illustration, then hand dyed and screen printed on a manual press for low minimum to high volume needs. This chore coat is finished in the Humbles™ Highlighter Editions style and hand colored, similar to others available at humblesbrand.com.
Humbles™
The Cut & Sew Show brings together some of the most exciting independent artists and designers working today, each given the same unfinished chore coat to reimagine through their own creative practice.
Presented by Shelter Cultivation Project in partnership with April Cornell, the exhibition explores the intersection of art, fashion, design, textiles, and making. Each artist brings their own materials, techniques, and creative language to the garment, resulting in a collection of one-of-a-kind works.
